Eunha Gallery is pleased to present Upo: Story of Light and Wind, an invitational solo exhibition by Mikyung Lee.

For many years, Mikyung Lee has devoted her artistic practice to painting the Upo Wetland, capturing moments where nature, humanity, time, and existence quietly converge. To the artist, Upo is far more than a landscape—it is a mirror reflecting the essence of life and art, a contemplative space where she continually questions the meaning of existence.

Although Upo appears calm and still, it is filled with the endless rhythms of light, wind, mist, the changing seasons, and the cycle of life. Through delicate layers of color and expressive compositions, Lee translates these subtle movements into visual language. Crimson sunsets breathe with the vitality of life, deep blues evoke quiet reflection, and golden sunlight becomes a symbol of hope and new beginnings.

More than an exhibition of natural scenery, this exhibition speaks of the profound interconnectedness of nature, humanity, time, and being. Through works such as Non-Duality (不二), Amore Infinito (Infinite Love), and Flowing Time, In Search of Myself, the artist invites viewers to contemplate harmony, unity, and the essential nature of life.

은하갤러리는 이미경 작가의 초대개인전 「우포, 빛과 바람의 이야기」를 개최합니다.

이미경 작가는 오랫동안 우포늪을 바라보고 그려오며, 자연과 인간, 시간과 존재가 서로 연결되는 순간을 화폭에 담아왔습니다. 작가에게 우포늪은 단순한 풍경이 아니라 삶과 예술의 본질을 비추는 거울이며, 자신을 돌아보고 존재의 의미를 질문하는 사유의 공간입니다.

겉으로는 고요해 보이는 우포늪에는 빛과 바람, 안개와 계절, 그리고 생명의 흐름이 끊임없이 이어집니다. 작가는 이러한 자연의 변화를 섬세한 색채와 화면의 리듬으로 표현하며, 붉은 노을은 생명의 숨결을, 푸른빛은 깊은 성찰을, 황금빛 햇살은 희망과 새로운 시작을 상징적으로 담아냅니다.
