About the Exhibition

Jageun Art Museum presents the first solo exhibition of artist Dasong (茶松) Yoo Jinkyu, titled “The Breath of Creation, The Peace of Mind Resting on the Canvas.”

This exhibition introduces the artist’s body of work that seeks to convey moments of tranquility and healing through scenes of nature and everyday life. Through vivid colors and repeated brushstrokes, the artist translates landscapes and remembered places onto the canvas, visually expressing the vitality and order found in nature.

For the artist, nature is not merely a visual subject but a space filled with the breath of creation. The act of painting becomes a contemplative process—an opportunity to observe the life within nature and reflect on its beauty. Through this perspective, the artist captures the serenity and living energy inherent in the natural world.

This exhibition presents various themes including natural landscapes, churches and village scenes, as well as still life and floral works. The bright color palette and balanced compositions offer viewers a calm visual experience, providing a moment of pause from the pace of everyday life.

Through this exhibition, the museum hopes to share with visitors the quiet beauty and moments of peace found within nature and the landscapes of life.
