About the Exhibition
Layered Scenes(겹쳐진 장면들)은 네 명의 작가가 각기 다른 시선과 재료를 통해 구축한 ‘장면(scene)’을 한 공간에 펼쳐 보입니다. 이들은 자연·상징·기억·대상이라는 서로 다른 출발점에서 작업을 이어가며, 각자의 방식으로 시선이 머무는 순간을 화면 위에 기록합니다.
이미경은 우포늪을 주제로 한 유화 작업을 통해 자연에 축적된 시간과 고요한 감각을 담아냅니다. 권순옥은 ‘Ego Birds’라는 상징적 존재를 중심으로 풍경과 자아, 감정의 관계를 혼합재료로 풀어냅니다. 정은하는 여행길에서 마주한 순간들을 기록하듯 포착하여 이동과 기억의 감각을 화면 위에 겹쳐 놓습니다. 정혜욱은 전통 옻칠 기법을 회화로 확장해 계란껍질과 자개를 사용하는 작업으로, 대상과 재료에 축적된 시간과 집중의 감각을 드러냅니다.
이번 전시는 서로 다른 장면들이 한 공간에 나란히 놓이며, 관람객 각자의 시선에 따라 새로운 연결과 해석을 만들어가는 과정을 제안합니다.

Layered Scenes is a group exhibition that brings together four artists, each constructing their own “scene” through different materials and perspectives within one space.
Starting from distinct points of departure—nature, symbol, memory, and object—the artists record moments where the gaze lingers, translating them onto the surface in their own visual languages.
Mikyung Lee captures the accumulated time and quiet sensibility of nature through oil paintings inspired by the Upo Wetlands.
Soonok Kwun explores the relationship between landscape, self, and emotion through mixed-media works centered around a symbolic figure called Ego Birds.
Eunha Jung layers sensations of movement and memory by capturing fleeting moments encountered during travel, as if recording them in passing.
Hyewook Jeong expands traditional Korean lacquer techniques into painting, revealing a sense of time and focused attention embedded in objects and materials through still-life-like works using eggshell and mother-of-pearl.
By placing these different scenes side by side, the exhibition invites viewers to create new connections and interpretations shaped by their own perspectives.
