Exhibition Introduction

〈Inspired: Expanded〉 is a follow-up exhibition featuring the artists invited by Art in Dongsan to the INSPIRED Art Fair.

It marks a pivotal moment in their artistic journey, bridging the past showcase and their upcoming participation in the 2026 LA Art Show.

Presented in collaboration with 172G Gallery—Art in Dongsan’s sister gallery—this exhibition captures a renewed expansion of perspectives and emotions from artists actively working across Korea and abroad.

Creation that began with inspiration now moves beyond.

Each artwork becomes more than a result—it becomes a window into the artist’s inner world.

Through these windows, viewers encounter questions, receive emotions, and are invited into spaces of reflection.

Emerging from the boundaries of tradition and modernity, reality and imagination, self and other, these works return to Gwanghwamun under the title 〈Inspired: Expanded〉, offering new stories and deeper resonance.

〈Inspired: Expanded〉는 아트인동산이 INSPIRED Art Fair에초청한 작가의 작품들을 다시 만나는 앵콜 전시이자,

다가올 2026 LA Art Show로 이어지는 예술 여정의 중간 지점입니다.

이번 전시는 아트인동산의 자매 갤러리인 172G 갤러리와의 협업으로, 국내외에서 활발히 활동 중인 작가들의 시선과 감정이 다시 한 번 확장되는 순간을 담아냅니다.

‘영감’이라는 출발점에서 시작된 창작은 이제 그 너머로 나아갑니다. 작품은 단순한 결과물이 아닌, 작가의 내면과 세계를 마주하는 창이 되고, 관람자는 그 창을 통해 질문을 받고, 감정을 건네받으며, 사유의 여백을 경험하게 됩니다.

전통과 현대, 현실과 상상, 개인과 타인의 경계에서 피어난 이 작품들은 〈Inspired: Expanded〉라는 이름 아래, 광화문에서 다시금 새로운 이야기로 관람자와 마주합니다.
