Connecting Korea and Japan Through Art


The international exhibition 「2nd Heart to Heart : Connecting Korea and Japan Through Art」 will be held from June 2 to June 7, 2026 at Kobun Gallery in Tokyo, Japan.


As the second edition following the 2025 special exhibition commemorating the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Japan, this exhibition brings together Korean and Japanese artists once again to share diverse cultural perspectives, artistic sensibilities, and contemporary visual languages. Through their individual practices, the participating artists explore traces of life, nature, memory, time, emotion, and human existence, proposing the possibility of deeper empathy and connection through art.


Art in Dongsan (Director: Eunha Chung) has continuously promoted international artistic exchange and the global expansion of Korean contemporary art through exhibitions and international art fairs including LA Art Show, Art Vancouver, Art Kaohsiung, and VOLTA Basel. 「2nd Heart to Heart」 continues this vision by creating a platform where contemporary art becomes a bridge connecting experiences, emotions, and cultural understanding beyond national boundaries.


Participating Korean artists include Minsoo Kang, Minju Kim, Zenakim, Junbeom Kim, Soonok Kwun, Bukang Yu Kim, Kapim Lee, Myungsook Lee, Youngmi Lee, Mikyung Lee, Taehyun Lee, Miseon Jeon, Hyewook Jeong, Sori Choi, and Steel Che.


Participating Japanese artists include Setsuko (Missao) and Morimoto Sango.


presenting diverse artistic worlds from both Korea and Japan together in one exhibition.


「2nd Heart to Heart」 aims to become a meaningful platform for international artistic exchange, connecting hearts through art and creating new possibilities for empathy and dialogue beyond language and borders.

[전시 소개]

한일 양국의 예술적 교류와 공감을 이어가는 국제 교류전 「2nd Heart to Heart : 한국과 일본의 아트, 마음을 잇다」가 2026년 6월 2일부터 6월 7일까지 일본 도쿄 호문화랑(好文画廊)에서 개최됩니다.


이번 전시는 2025년 한일 수교 60주년 기념 특별전 「Heart to Heart」의 연장선에서 기획된 두 번째 교류전으로, 한국과 일본 작가들이 다시 한자리에 모여 서로 다른 문화와 감각, 그리고 예술적 시선을 공유합니다. 참여 작가들은 각자의 언어로 삶과 자연, 시간과 감정, 기억과 존재의 흔적을 풀어내며, 예술을 통한 깊은 공감과 연결의 가능성을 제안합니다.


아트인동산(대표 정은하)은 그동안 LA Art Show, Art Vancouver, Art Kaohsiung, VOLTA Basel 등 국내외 다양한 국제 전시와 아트페어를 통해 한국 현대미술의 국제적 확장과 예술가 교류를 지속적으로 추진해왔습니다. 이번 「2nd Heart to Heart」 역시 단순한 국가 간 교류를 넘어, 동시대 예술이 어떻게 서로의 경험과 감정을 연결할 수 있는지를 보여주는 자리로 기획되었습니다.


특히 이번 전시는 한국과 일본 작가들이 하나의 공간 안에서 서로의 작품 세계를 교차시키며, 문화적 차이를 넘어 예술적 감수성과 인간적 공감을 나누는 장이 될 것입니다. 관람객들은 각기 다른 조형 언어와 시선을 통해 동시대 한국과 일본 예술의 흐름을 함께 경험할 수 있습니다.


한국 작가로는 강민수(Minsoo Kang), 김민주(Minju Kim), 제나킴(Zenakim), 김준범(Junbeom Kim), 권순옥(Soonok Kwun), 유부강(Bukang Yu Kim), 이갑임(Kapim Lee), 이명숙(Myungsook Lee), 이영미(Youngmi Lee), 이미경(Mikyung Lee), 이태현(Taehyun Lee), 전미선(Miseon Jeon), 정혜욱(Hyewook Jeong), 최소리(Sori Choi), 최영관(Steel Che) 작가가 참여합니다.


일본 작가로는 세츠코(Setsuko, Missao), 모리모토 산고(Morimoto Sango)가 참여하여 양국 예술가들의 다층적인 예술 세계를 함께 선보입니다.


「2nd Heart to Heart」는 예술을 통해 서로의 마음을 연결하고, 국경과 언어를 넘어 새로운 관계와 공감의 가능성을 만들어가는 국제 예술 교류의 장이 될 것입니다.
